An article consisting essentially of a ductile brazing alloy foil having a liquidus temperature of from about 890° C. to about 1400° C., said alloy having a composition consisting essentially of from about 0.25% to about 5% by weight of titanium, from about 25% by weight to about 85% by weight of a gold and from about 3% by weight to about 40% by weight of nickel and from about 5% to about 65% by weight of copper.
