Abstract

Abstract A spectacle frame having two interconnected parts (for example, the front and one of the side pieces or the two portions of the bridge of the front or the two portions of one of the side pieces in the case of a foldable frame) which are pivotable relative to each other between a folded, mutually closed position and a mutually open position by means of a resilient hinge mechanism including a rolling body cooperating under the action of resilient biassing means associated with one of the parts of the frame, with a cam member associated with the other part of the frame to allow limited and definable sprung angular displacements of the two parts of the frame with respect to a stable mutually open position. The resilient biassing means include at least one flexion spring anchored to the respective part of the frame and defining a seat for the lateral containment and centering of the rolling member.
