Abstract
Abstract In a zinc-chloride cell of the invention, the gas phase in a cell container comprises a gas mixture of chlorine gas and an inert gas to allow easy control of the internal pressure of the cell during cell operation. During charging of the cell, the gas mixture is trapped, and the trapped gas mixture is blown into the electrolyte so as to reduce the chlorine concentration in the electrolyte.
