Abstract
Abstract Halogens and/or hydrogen halides in a gas can easily be removed from the gas by contacting the gas with an adsorbent comprising an activated carbon having as supported thereon (1) one or more components included in one of the three groups shown below and (2) one or more components included in the remaining two groups shown below: -Group Component -I copper compound -II zinc compound -III (a) alkali metal compounds - (b) alkaline earth metal compounds - (c) compounds of Al, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, - Co, Ni, Cd and Pb - .
