Abstract
Abstract Disclosed is a flat cell comprising a positive electrode metal plate, a negative electrode metal plate confronted with said positive electrode metal plate, and an adhesive sealing member for sealing the peripheral edge portions of said metal plates, characterized in that said sealing member has a three-layer structure in which ionomer resin pieces are disposed on the opposite sides of a polyethylene piece or an ethylene copolymer piece.
