Abstract
Abstract A longitudinal housing wall for an internal combustion engine is formed with an elongate channel defined by two confronting parallel surfaces. A rod extends in said channel over at least two-thirds of the length of said channel and is coupled to said wall so as to be resiliently movable relative to said wall and capable of absorbing energy of flexural vibration at a predetermined frequency from said wall.
