Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 11
Claim 1
Independent Claim 136 words
A bag processing unit of an automatic transaction machine, comprising: first means for storing new bags in a pile; second means, including a manually-operable handle, for removing an uppermost bag in the pile stored in said first means in response to manual operation of said handle; third means for receiving the bag which is removed by said second means and in which a transaction medium is to be contained; fourth means for selecting a transaction mode using the bag; fifth means for precluding the manual operation of said handle; and sixth means for releasing the precision of the operation of said handle in response to the transaction mode selected by said fourth means and for precluding the operation of said handle of said second means in response to reception of the bag by said third means.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 136 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 31 words
A unit according to claim 1, wherein said first means comprises a hopper, a press plate on which the new bags are placed, and a spring for urging said press plate.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 86 words
A unit according to claim 1, wherein said first means comprises a hopper having an opening portion on a top thereof; and wherein said second means includes a pair of shafts slidably supported in the vicinity of said opening portion of said hopper, said handle being fixed at one end of each of said pair of shafts, and a bag dispensing plate extending from the other end of one of said pair of shafts to the other end of the other of said pair of shafts.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 13 words
A unit according to claim 1, wherein said fourth means comprises a keyboard.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 135 words
A unit according to claim 1, wherein said second means includes a pair of shafts each of which has one end fixed to said handle, and a bag dispensing plate extending from the other end of one of said pair of shafts to the other end of the other of said pair of shafts; and said fifth means comprises a locking pawl fixed to said bag dispensing plate, a locking arm rotatably supported at a predetermined position and having an engaging portion engageable with said locking pawl, a spring for urging said locking arm which is pivoted in a predetermined direction so as to engage said engaging portion of said locking arm with said locking pawl, and a solenoid for urging said locking arm in a direction opposite to an energizing direction of said spring.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 145 words
A unit according to claim 1, wherein said fifth means comprises a locking pawl, a locking arm rotatably supported at a predetermined position and having an engaging portion engageable with said locking pawl, a spring for urging said locking arm which is pivoted in a predetermined direction so as to engage said engaging portion of said locking arm with said locking pawl, and a solenoid for urging said locking arm in a direction opposite to an energizing direction by said spring; and said sixth means energizes said solenoid in accordance with the transaction mode selected by said fourth means so as to disengage said engaging portion of said locking arm from said locking pawl and deenergizes said solenoid in accordance with the reception of the bag by said third means so as to engage said engaging portion of said locking arm with said locking pawl.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 37 words
A unit according to claim 1, wherein said third means comprises a bag insertion port and a bag detector for detecting the bag which contains the transaction medium, said bag being inserted through said bag insertion port.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 30 words
A unit according to claim 7, wherein said third means further comprises means for printing a code corresponding to a given transaction on a plurality of positions on the bag.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 242 words
A bag processing unit of an automatic transaction machine, comprising: a hopper having an opening portion on a top thereof for storing new bags in a pile; a shaft slidably supported in the vicinity of said opening portion of said hopper, and including a handle being fixed at one end of said shaft; a bag dispensing plate fixed to the other end of said shaft; a locking pawl fixed to said bag dispensing plate; a locking arm rotatably supported at a predetermined position and having an engaging portion engageable with said locking pawl; spring means for urging said locking arm in a predetermined pivotal direction to cause said engaging portion of said locking arm to engage said locking pawl; solenoid means for urging said locking arm in a direction opposite to an energizing direction of said spring means; mode select means for selecting a transaction mode in which a bag is used; a bag insertion port in which the bag is insertable; bag detector means for detecting the bag which contains a transaction medium; and means for energizing said solenoid means in accordance with the transaction mode selected by said mode select means so as to disengage said engaging portion of said locking arm from said locking pawl and for deenergizing said solenoid means in accordance with the detection of the bag by said bag detector means to cause engagement of said engaging portion of said locking arm with said locking pawl.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 242 words
