Abstract

Abstract A color photographic element contains a compound of the following formula: ##STR1## wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 each represent hydrogen atom, or an alkyl or aryl group; Ar 1 and Ar 2 each represent an aryl group; and n and m each represent 1 or 2. The color element containing the above compound displays excellent sensitivity, gradation, and color-developability even when developing it with a color developer not substantially containing any benzyl alcohol.
