Abstract
Abstract There is provided to a thermal printer including a thermal head having a plurality of heating elements and a power supply for driving the thermal head. A power supply average voltage detected and a time period for supplying a voltage to the heating elements is determined based on the detected voltage and the number of heating elements to be simultaneously energized.
