Abstract Fungicidal or plant growth regulating triazoles or imidazoles of the formula <IMAGE> wherein R1 is -CH=CH-X, -C 3BOND C-X or -CH2-CH2-X where X is H, alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, cycloalkyl or optionally substituted aryl, aralkyl, aryloxyalkyl, or heterocycle; and R2 is alkyl, cycloalkyl (e.g. cyclopropyl, cyclopentyl, or cyclohexyl) or optionally substituted aryl; Z is Cl, CN or OR3 where R3 is H, acetyl, alkenyl or aralkyl; Y is =N- or =CH-; and acid addition salts and metal complexes thereof.
