Abstract
Abstract New compounds having one, two or three aldimine groups and one, two or three oxazolidine groups in their molecule are curing agents for organic polyisocyanates. Mixtures of said new compounds with polyisocyanates are stable for long periods if humidity is absent, if they however come into contact with water or the humidity of the environment they rapidly cure resulting in elastic or hard polymers. The new compounds are prepared by reacting a diamine or polyamine with up to 6 amino groups with an epoxy compound, yielding a polyamino alcohol, which is thereafter reacted with an aldehyde, e.g. formaldehyde, an aliphatic, cyclic or heterocyclic or aromatic aldehyde.
