Abstract

Abstract An improved cleaning and protecting solution comprising an admixture of poly(methylhydrosiloxane) and zinc and tin octoates in 1, 1, 1-trichloroethane, wherein the improvement consists of replacing all or part of the trichloroethane by at least one solvent selected from the group consisting of cyclic poly(dimethylsiloxane)s, poly(dimethylsiloxane) oils, petroleum distillates and methylene chloride and the admixture of zinc and tin octoates by at least one catalyst selected from the group consisting of dibutyl tin oxide and dialkyl tin dicarboxylates.
