A normally liquid hydrocarbon fuel for internal combustion engines having a boiling point of 75°-700° F. and containing of at least one alkenylsuccinyl (polycarbonatepolyglycolethyleneoxy)-B-hydroxypropionate of the general formula: ##STR2## wherein R is alkenylsuccinyl in which the alkenyl radical has a molecular weight in the range of about 250 to 3000 and x is an integer ranging from 2 to 10.
