Abstract
Abstract A degaussing circuit for a color television receiver has a continuously energized switch mode power supply feeding a voltage doubler coupled to a resonating capacitor connected in series with a degaussing coil for charging the capacitor while the receiver is off. A triac connects the capacitor and the degaussing coil in parallel when the television receiver low voltage on/off switch is turned on.
