Abstract

Abstract Silicone resin coating compositions, which when applied to a solid substrate provide an abrasion resistant coating thereto, are disclosed herein. The coating compositions have a basic pH in the range of from 7.1-7.8 and are prepared by hydrolyzing an alkyltrialkoxysilane or aryltrialkoxysilane in an aqueous colloidal silica dispersion.
