Abstract
Abstract A composition is provided for the treatment of deficiency state of iron and selenium in a mammal, which composition comprises a precipitate-free solution containing a deficiency-treating amount of an iron compound and a selenium compound, wherein the iron compound is ferric dextran, ferric polymaltose or the corresponding hydrolysates thereof, and the selenium compound is selenium dioxide or selenium selenite.
