Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 14
Claim 1
Independent Claim 78 words
A process for treating furred animal pelts and/or fur comprising applying to said pelts or fur an aqueous composition containing a water-soluble cationic polymer and a cationic surfactant, wherein said pelts or fur are soaked in a dilute solution of said composition for a time sufficient to produce a pelt or fur with a finished dried fur having a smooth, controlled appearance, soft feel and improved sheen, and a treated skin remaining supple and retaining a soft feel.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 78 words
A process for treating furred animal pelts and/or fur comprising applying to said pelts or fur an aqueous composition containing a water-soluble cationic polymer and a cationic surfactant, wherein said pelts or fur are soaked in a dilute solution of said composition for a time sufficient to produce a pelt or fur with a finished dried fur having a smooth, controlled appearance, soft feel and improved sheen, and a treated skin remaining supple and retaining a soft feel.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 17 words
The process as defined in claim 1, wherein the water-soluble cationic polymer is a quaternized cellulose derivative.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 20 words
The process as defined in claim 1, wherein the water-soluble cationic polymer is a synthetic polymer containing quaternary ammonium groups.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 16 words
The process as defined in claim 1, wherein the cationic surfactant is a quaternary ammonium compound.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 27 words
The process as defined in claim 1, wherein the aqueous composition additionally contains a primary emulsifier, a secondary emulsifer, a surface active antistatic agent and a preservative.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 16 words
The process as defined in claim 1, wherein the furred animal pelt is a mink pelt.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 47 words
A process for the treating furred animal pelts and/or fur comprising applying to said pelt or fur an aqueous composition containing a water-soluble cationic polymer and a cationic surfactant, wherein said pelts are soaked in a dilute solution of said composition for about 2 to 4 hours.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 47 words
A process for the treating furred animal pelts and/or fur comprising applying to said pelt or fur an aqueous composition containing a water-soluble cationic polymer and a cationic surfactant, wherein said pelts are soaked in a dilute solution of said composition for about 2 to 4 hours.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 17 words
The process as defined in claim 7 wherein the water-soluble cationic polymer is a quaternized cellulose derivative.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 20 words
The process as defined in claim 7 wherein the water-soluble cationic polymer is a synthetic polymer containing quaternary ammonium groups.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 16 words
The process as defined in claim 7 wherein the cationic surfactant is a quaternary ammonium compound.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim 27 words
The process as defined in claim 7 wherein the aqueous composition additionally contains a primary emulsifier, a secondary emulsifier, a surface active antistatic agent and a preservative.
Claim 14
Dependent Claim 16 words
The process as defined in claim 7 wherein the furred animal pelt is a mink pelt.
