Claims Analysis
Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim
63 words
A method of removing arsenic in gaseous hydrocarbons, particularly LPG, comprising reacting arsenic compounds in the gaseous hydrocarbon in a gas phase reaction at a temperature of 0°-80° C. under a reaction pressure of 0-30 kg/cm 2 with a metal oxide and retaining the resultant reaction product on said metal oxide, whereby the arsenic compound in the gaseous hydrocarbon is substantially removed therefrom.
Claim 2
Independent Claim
63 words
A method of removing arsenic in gaseous hydrocarbons, particularly LPG, comprising reacting arsenic compounds in the gaseous hydrocarbon in a gas phase reaction at a temperature of 0°-80° C. under a reaction pressure of 0-30 kg/cm 2 with a metal oxide and retaining the resultant reaction product on said metal oxide, whereby the arsenic compound in the gaseous hydrocarbon is substantially removed therefrom.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
31 words
A method as defined in claim 1, wherein the metal oxide comprises at least one metal oxide selected from the group consisting of manganese oxide, copper oxide and a mixture thereof.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
16 words
A method as defined in claim 1, wherein the reaction temperature is ambient to 60° C.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
16 words
A method as defined in claim 1, wherein the reaction pressure is 10-20 kg/cm 2 .
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
31 words
A method as defined in claim 1, wherein a small portion of arsenic compound is oxidized by the metal oxide and retained on the metal oxide in the gas phase reaction.
