Abstract Compounds having the formula <IMAGE> in which R is C3-C5 alkyl, C3-C5 alkenyl, cyclopropyl, or <IMAGE> R1 is C1-C4 alkyl; R2 is C1-C4 alkyl, and the side chain is substituted on the pyridyl ring at the 2- or 3-position, are effective insect repellents.
