Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 11
Claim 1
Independent Claim 34 words
A process for desizing and bleaching cellulosic fabrics in a single operation, which process comprises impregnating cellulosic cloth wih a basic desizing-bleaching composition containing hydrogen peroxide, a starch-degrading enzyme, and an alkali metal hydroxide.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 34 words
A process for desizing and bleaching cellulosic fabrics in a single operation, which process comprises impregnating cellulosic cloth wih a basic desizing-bleaching composition containing hydrogen peroxide, a starch-degrading enzyme, and an alkali metal hydroxide.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 14 words
A process according to claim 1 wherein the desizing-bleaching composition includes a sequestering agent.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 15 words
A process according to claim 1 wherein the desizing-bleaching composition includes a surface active agent.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 17 words
A process according to claim 1 carried out at a temperature of from 20° to 120° C.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 44 words
A process according to claim 1 wherein the cloth is impregnated with the desizing-bleaching composition and the impregnated cloth is then squeezed to provide an amount of composition in the cloth of from about 60 to 120 percent of the weight of the fabric.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 22 words
A process according to claim 1 wherein the fabric is steamed to raise its temperature to about 20° C. to 120° C.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 23 words
A process according to claim 1 wherein the fabric is held in contact with the composition for from five minutes to four hours.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 14 words
A process according to claim 1 wherein the alkali metal hydroxide is sodium hydroxide.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 33 words
A desizing-bleaching composition consisting essentially of an aqueous mixture containing hydrogen peroxide (35%), 40-60 mL/L; caustic soda, 6-7 g/L; sequestering agent, 2-6 g/L; amylolytic enzyme, 8-12 g/L; and surface active agent, 1-2 mL/L.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 33 words
A desizing-bleaching composition consisting essentially of an aqueous mixture containing hydrogen peroxide (35%), 40-60 mL/L; caustic soda, 6-7 g/L; sequestering agent, 2-6 g/L; amylolytic enzyme, 8-12 g/L; and surface active agent, 1-2 mL/L.
