A germicidally effective, stable aqueous alcoholic hard surface cleaner composition comprising from about 1 to 10 percent, by weight, of a nonionic surfactant having a Hydrophile-Lipophile Balance in the range of about 12.5 to 14, from about 2.5 to 4 percent, by weight, of a germicide consisting of (a) n-dodecylguanidinium hydrochloride and (b) one or more dialkyldimethyl ammonium chlorides, wherein the alkyl groups are independently about C 8 to C 12 , the ratio of (b) to (a) being at least about 1:1 to about 3:1.
