Recording device for recording the image of an original

Claim 2

A recording device comprising: (a) mounting means to mount thereon an original carrying information to be recorded; (b) first size detection means to detect a size of said original; (c) a plurality of storing means, each of which stores therein sheet recording mediums in a predetermined size; (d) image recording means to read the image information on the original placed on said mounting means by scanning the same, and to record the image information as a visible image onto a sheet recording medium drawn from the selected storing means; (e) second size detection means to detect a size of the sheet recording medium stored in each of said storing means, and to provide an output corresponding to the size as detected; and (f) selection means for selecting the storing means storing the sheet recording medium having a size corresponding to the size of the original detected by said first size detection means, in accordance with outputs of said first size detection means and said second size detection means.

Claim 3

A recording device comprising: (a) mounting means to mount thereon an original carrying information to be recorded; (b) first size detection means to detect a size of said original; (c) a plurality of storing means, each of which stores therein sheet recording mediums in a predetermined size; (d) image recording means to read the image information on the original placed on said mounting means by scanning the same, and to record the image information as a visible image onto the sheet recording medium drawn from the selected storing means; (e) second size detection means to detect a size of the sheet recording mediums stored in each of said storing means, and to provide an output corresponding to the size as detected; and (f) means for inhibiting the recording operation of said image recording means when there is no such storing means that stores the sheet recording medium corresponding to the size of the original detected by said first size detection means.

Claim 4

A recording device comprising: (a) mounting means to mount thereon an original carrying information to be recorded; (b) first size detection means to detect a size of said original; (c) a plurality of storing means, each of which stores therein sheet recording mediums in a predetermined size; (d) image recording means to read the image information on the original placed on said mounting means by scanning the same, and to record the image information as a visible image onto the sheet recording medium drawn from the selected storing means; (e) second size detection means to detect a size of the sheet recording mediums stored in each of said storing means, and to provide an output corresponding to the size as detected; and (f) means for inhibiting the recording operation of said image recording means when there is no such storing means that stores the sheet recording medium corresponding to the size of the original detected by said first size detection means.

Claim 5

A recording apparatus comprising: means for mounting thereon an original carrying image information to be recorded; means for conveying the original, fed from an original feeding station, to said original mounting means; means for detecting the size of the original, said detecting means including a first detecting element provided in a path along which different sizes of the original are commonly passed, and a second detecting element provided in a path along which only a predetermined size of the original is passed; and means for recording on a recording medium the information of the original mounted on the original mounting means.

Claim 6

A recording apparatus comprising: means for mounting thereon an original carrying image information to be recorded; means for conveying the original, fed from an original feeding station, to said original mounting means; means for detecting the size of the original, said detecting means including a first detecting element provided in a path along which different sizes of the original are commonly passed, and a second detecting element provided in a path along which only a predetermined size of the original is passed; and means for recording on a recording medium the information of the original mounted on the original mounting means.

Claim 7

An apparatus according to claim 3, further comprising means for selecting, in response to said detecting means, the recording medium for the recording by said recording means.

Claim 8

A recording apparatus, comprising: means for mounting thereon an original carrying image information to be recorded; means for conveying the original, fed from an original feeding station, to said original mounting means; first original size detection means located in a path along which the original is conveyed by said conveying means, said detection means being effective to detect the size of the original by the time required for the original to pass by the detecting means; a plurality of storing means, each of which stores therein sheet recording mediums; means for recording on the recording mediums the information carried by the original on the original mounting means; second size detection means to detect a size of the sheet recording medium stored in each of said storing means, and to provide an output corresponding to the size as detected; and selection means for selecting the storing means storing the sheet recording mediums having a size corresponding to the size of the original detected by said first size detection means, in accordance with outputs of said first size detection means and said second size detection means.

Claim 9

A recording apparatus, comprising: means for mounting thereon an original carrying image information to be recorded; means for conveying the original, fed from an original feeding station, to said original mounting means; first original size detection means located in a path along which the original is conveyed by said conveying means, said detection means being effective to detect the size of the original by the time required for the original to pass by the detecting means; a plurality of storing means, each of which stores therein sheet recording mediums; means for recording on the recording mediums the information carried by the original on the original mounting means; second size detection means to detect a size of the sheet recording medium stored in each of said storing means, and to provide an output corresponding to the size as detected; and selection means for selecting the storing means storing the sheet recording mediums having a size corresponding to the size of the original detected by said first size detection means, in accordance with outputs of said first size detection means and said second size detection means.

Claim 10

An apparatus according to claim 5, further comprising means for selecting, in response to said detecting means, the recording medium for the recording by said recording means.

Claim 11

A recording apparatus, comprising: means for mounting a plurality of originals; original pick-up means having a first rotor for lifting the original put on the original mounting means, and a second rotor, opposed to the first rotor, for cooperating with said first rotor to grip the original thus lifted; means for conveying the original picked up by said pick-up means onto said original mounting means; and means for recording on the recording medium the information carried by the original on the original mounting means.

Claim 12

A recording apparatus, comprising: means for mounting a plurality of originals; original pick-up means having a first rotor for lifting the original put on the original mounting means, and a second rotor, opposed to the first rotor, for cooperating with said first rotor to grip the original thus lifted; means for conveying the original picked up by said pick-up means onto said original mounting means; and means for recording on the recording medium the information carried by the original on the original mounting means.

Claim 13

A recording device comprising: (a) means for mounting thereon an original carrying image information to be recorded; (b) first size detection means for detecting a size of said original; (c) a plurality of storing means, each of which stores therein sheet recording mediums; (d) image recording means for reading the image information on the original placed on said original mounting means by scanning the original, and for recording the image information as a visible image onto a sheet recording medium drawn from a selected storing means; (e) second size detection means for detecting a size of the sheet recording mediums stored in each of said storing means, and to provide an output corresponding to the size as detected; and (f) selection means for selecting the storing means storing the sheet recording mediums having a size which is available for recording in accordance with the size of the original detected by said first size detection means, in response to outputs of said first and second size detection means.

Claim 14

A recording device comprising: (a) means for mounting thereon an original carrying image information to be recorded; (b) first size detection means for detecting a size of said original; (c) a plurality of storing means, each of which stores therein sheet recording mediums; (d) image recording means for reading the image information on the original placed on said original mounting means by scanning the original, and for recording the image information as a visible image onto a sheet recording medium drawn from a selected storing means; (e) second size detection means for detecting a size of the sheet recording mediums stored in each of said storing means, and to provide an output corresponding to the size as detected; and (f) selection means for selecting the storing means storing the sheet recording mediums having a size which is available for recording in accordance with the size of the original detected by said first size detection means, in response to outputs of said first and second size detection means.

Claim 15

A recording device comprising: (a) means for mounting thereon an original carrying image information to be recorded; (b) first size detection means for detecting a size of said original; (c) a plurality of storing means, each of which stores therein sheet recording mediums; (d) image recording means for reading the image information on the original placed on said original mounting means by scanning the original and for recording the image information as a visible image onto a sheet recording medium drawn from a selected storing means; (e) second size detection means for detecting a size of the sheet recording mediums stored in each of said storing means, and to provide an output corresponding to the size as detected; and (f) means for inhibiting the recording operation of said image recording means when none of said storing means stores a sheet recording medium having a size which is available for recording in accordance with the size of the original detected by said first size detection means.

Claim 16

A recording device comprising: (a) means for mounting thereon an original carrying image information to be recorded; (b) first size detection means for detecting a size of said original; (c) a plurality of storing means, each of which stores therein sheet recording mediums; (d) image recording means for reading the image information on the original placed on said original mounting means by scanning the original and for recording the image information as a visible image onto a sheet recording medium drawn from a selected storing means; (e) second size detection means for detecting a size of the sheet recording mediums stored in each of said storing means, and to provide an output corresponding to the size as detected; and (f) means for inhibiting the recording operation of said image recording means when none of said storing means stores a sheet recording medium having a size which is available for recording in accordance with the size of the original detected by said first size detection means.
