Abstract

Abstract A device for regulating the temperature of a container which is surrounded by a good heat-conducting medium attached to an electro-thermic element, and arranged such that the container can be removed from one side of the device and also inserted into the device on the same side. Also, between the outer surface on one side of the device and the good heat-conducting medium the device has heat insulating material, which material has at least one perforation permitting a container to be inserted into and removed from the good heat-conducting medium.

Independent Claim 132 words
A device for regulating the temperature of material in a container which is, in turn, surrounded by a good heat-conducting medium attached to an electro-thermic element and arranged such that the container can be removed from one side of the device and also inserted into the device on the same side, characterized in that between the outwardly directed surface of said side of the device and the good heat-conducting medium an insulation of a predetermined thickness is provided, said insulation having at least one perforation permitting a container to be inserted into and removed from the good heat-conducting medium, and that a gripper is provided, the length of which is at least the same as the thickness of the insulation and by means of which the container can be removed and/or inserted.
Claim 2
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 31 words
A device according to claim 1, characterized in that the gripper has at one end a handle and at its other end a gripping device adapted for connection to a container.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 32 words
A device according to claim 2, characterized in that the gripper has a shoulder provided between the handle and the gripping device, which shoulder may bear on a plate of the device.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 25 words
A device according to claim 2, characterised in that the gripping device is generally cylindrical and has an internal snap edge for engaging a container.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 15 words
A device according to claim 2, characterized in that the gripper is made of rubber.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 34 words
A device according to claim 2, characterized in that the container is an ampoule having a substantially cylindrical body and a head arranged such that between the head and body there is a groove.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 26 words
A device according to claim 2, characterized in that the good heat-conducting medium is a metal block with at least one recess to receive a container.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 15 words
A device according to claim 7, characterized in that said recess has a conical form.

Dependent Claim 20 words
A device according to claim 7, characterized in that recesses are provided in the metal block for receiving temperature sensors.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 14 words
A device according to claim 9, characterized in that the temperature sensors are termistors.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 37 words
A device according to any of claim 7, wherein the good heat-conducting medium is in the form of a metal block with at least one recess for a container, which block is produced by a die-casting process.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim 17 words
A device according to claim 7, characterized in that the electro-thermic element operates on the Peltier effect.
Claim 14
Dependent Claim 30 words
A device according to claim 7, characterized in that a regulating arrangement is provided which causes the electrothermic element to serve either as a heating or as a cooling element.
Claim 15
Dependent Claim 27 words
A device according to claim 7, characterized in that the device is provided with a front plate which carries optical indicating devices for different modes of operation.
Claim 16
Dependent Claim 33 words
A device according to claim 7, characterized in that the good heat-conducting medium is surrounded with insulation means up to the place where the electro-thermic element is attached to the good heat-conducting medium.
Claim 17
Dependent Claim 15 words
A device according to claim 15, characterized in that the insulation means consists of styropor.
Claim 18
Dependent Claim 33 words
A device according to claim 7, characterized in that the device has a rectangular housing with a front plate through which a container may be inserted or removed, and has a carrying device.
