Abstract
Abstract An image forming apparatus capable of eliminating unnecessary images other than the original image has a solid-state scanning device for reading an original and providing corresponding image information, a recording unit for recording on a recording sheet according to said image information, identifying unit for identifying the size of the original according to the output signals from said solid-state scanning device, and selector for selecting a recording sheet in said recording unit according to the identified size of the original.
