Abstract

Abstract An antimony-containing tin oxide wherein the content of antimony is 0.1 to 20% by weight is almost white and excels in electric conductivity. By mixing a powder of this antimony-containing tin oxide of a particle size of 0.4 μm or less with a binder resin in a specific ratio, an antistatic coating composition can be obtained. By applying this coating on nonconductive base materials such as electronic/electrical parts and building members, an antistatic effect can be imparted to these base materials without impairing their color tones.
