Abstract

Abstract An improved fiber reinforced material for use in the manufacture of gaskets is produced by impregnating a nonwoven fabric with an aqueous dispersion of a rubber and filler. The water is then evaporated out of the impregnated fabric. The final product is formed by curing the rubber under heat and pressure.
