Abstract

Abstract Light sensitive layers in photographic elements are protected against exposure to radiation in the blue region of the visible spectrum by a yellow filter dye having the structure: ##STR1## where: R 1 is alkyl of 1 to 3 carbon atoms; R 2 is hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 3 carbon atoms; R 3 and R 4 are each individually alkyl of 1 to 3 carbon atoms, at least one of which is terminated with ##STR2## and R 5 is alkyl of 1 to 3 carbon atoms or fluoroalkyl of 1 to 3 carbon atoms.
