Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 13
Claim 1
Independent Claim 62 words
A fuel composition having antiknock characteristics containing at least one compound of the formula: ##STR3## wherein R is hydrocarbyl; R 1 and R 2 are independently selected from alkyl groups having from 1 to about 7 carbon atoms; and R 3 , R 4 , R 5 , R 6 , R 7 and R 8 are independently hydrogen or hydrocarbon groups.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 62 words
A fuel composition having antiknock characteristics containing at least one compound of the formula: ##STR3## wherein R is hydrocarbyl; R 1 and R 2 are independently selected from alkyl groups having from 1 to about 7 carbon atoms; and R 3 , R 4 , R 5 , R 6 , R 7 and R 8 are independently hydrogen or hydrocarbon groups.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 44 words
The fuel composition of either of claims 1 or 2 wherein R 3 , R 4 , R 5 , R 6 , R 7 and R 8 are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C 1-7 alkyl groups, and aryl groups.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 22 words
The fuel composition of either of claims 1 or 2 wherein one or two methyl groups are para to the nitrogen atoms.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 22 words
The fuel composition of either of claim 1 wherein R is methylene, and R 1 and R 2 are both methyl groups.
Claim 6
Independent Claim 72 words
A method of improving the antiknock performance of a fuel composition comprising adding to the composition at least one compound of the formula: ##STR4## wherein R is hydrocarbyl; R 1 and R 2 are independently selected from alkyl groups having from 1 to about 7 carbon atoms and R 3 , R 4 , R 5 , R 6 , R 7 , and R 8 are independently hydrogen or hydrocarbon groups.
Claim 7
Independent Claim 72 words
A method of improving the antiknock performance of a fuel composition comprising adding to the composition at least one compound of the formula: ##STR4## wherein R is hydrocarbyl; R 1 and R 2 are independently selected from alkyl groups having from 1 to about 7 carbon atoms and R 3 , R 4 , R 5 , R 6 , R 7 , and R 8 are independently hydrogen or hydrocarbon groups.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 29 words
The method of claim 5 wherein R 1 and R 2 are independently selected from the group consisting of alkyl groups having from 1 to about 7 carbon atoms.
Claim 9
Independent Claim 43 words
The method of either of claims 6 or 7 wherein R 3 , R 4 , R 5 , R 6 , R 7 and R 8 are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C 1-7 alkyl groups, and aryl groups.
Claim 10
Independent Claim 21 words
The method of either of claims 6 or 7 wherein one or two methyl groups are para to the nitrogen atoms.
Claim 11
Independent Claim 24 words
The method of any one of claims 6 or 7 wherein R is methylene, and R 1 and R 2 are both methyl groups.
Claim 12
