Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim 60 words
A cathode suitable for use in a chloralkali process, the cathode comprising an electrolytic deposit of platinum and ruthenium having a roughness factor of at least 100 cm 2 /cm 2 of geometric surface area, wherein the deposit is carried on an electrically conductive matrix and is selected from a group consisting of mixtures or alloys of platinum and ruthenium.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 60 words
A cathode suitable for use in a chloralkali process, the cathode comprising an electrolytic deposit of platinum and ruthenium having a roughness factor of at least 100 cm 2 /cm 2 of geometric surface area, wherein the deposit is carried on an electrically conductive matrix and is selected from a group consisting of mixtures or alloys of platinum and ruthenium.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 11 words
A cathode according to claim 1 wherein the deposit comprises dendrites.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 30 words
A cathode according to claim 1 wherein the deposit is present in a loading of from 0.01 to 10 mg/cm 2 of the surface area of the electrically conductive matrix.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 17 words
A cathode according to claim 3 wherein the loading is from 0.03 to 5 mg/cm 2 .
Claim 6
