Abstract
Abstract A method and apparatus for the continuous manufacture of extruded material such as chip board, plastic board and similar materials, in which the material to be pressed is conducted, in a pressing section, between endless forming bands which co-circulate the feeding direction of the extrusion, extend over the width of the extrusion and through which pressure and optionally heat are introduced into the material. To aid the feed and reduce stresses, at a point following the pressing section, a pulling force in the feeding direction is exerted on the extrusion of the finished material.
