Abstract

Abstract A liquid low-foaming nonionic surfactant composition is provided which exhibits superior wetting characteristics and general good scouring and/or detergency properties which comprises a block-random structure represented by the formula R-O-Ax-B-H wherein R is a primary alkyl group having from 7 to 11 carbon atoms; A is oxypropylene groups; x is an integer of from 2 to 15 such that the sum of carbon atoms in R and x is from 12 to about 22, and B is a random mixture of oxyethylene and oxypropylene groups with a molar ratio of oxyethylene to oxypropylene from 1:1 to about 5:1.
