Abstract

Abstract A multilayer color photographic sensitive material is disclosed. The material is comprised of a support base and a silver halide emulsion layer. The material contains at least one layer containing a high boiling solvent and an oil-soluble coupler, wherein the volume ratio of solvent to coupler is 1/2 or less, and a compound represented by the general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein X is a hydrogen atom or an acetyl group, R is an aryl group, and R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 , which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group. The material produces sharp images even though it contains a low oil/coupler ratio. Furthermore, there is no retardation of development.
