A composition which comprises a thermoplastic resin selected from the group consisting of aromatic polycarbonates, polyesters, polysulfones, polyethersulfones, polyamides, polysulfides, polyacrylates, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, butadiene styrene, methacrylate butadiene and blends thereof and a mold release effective amount of a mold release agent and a mold release enhancing effective amount of a saturated or unsaturated normal fatty acid having from about fourteen (14) to about thirty-six (36) carbon atoms, inclusive which is insufficient to cause appreciable degradation of the polymer during normal processing and use.
