Abstract
Abstract Admixtures of (a) an antifungal/antibacterial agent, such as povidone-iodine, (b) sugar and (c) suitable carrier are substantially non-allergenic, have excellent healing properties when applied to burns or open wounds and serve as an effective barrier to the growth of healing tissue into gauze or similar dressing.
