Abstract
Abstract Unsaturated cyclic keto acids bearing pendant alkyl groups may be prepared by rearranging substituted dicarboxylic acid anhydrides in the presence of a strong Bronsted acid catalyst. The products may be useful as corrosion inhibitors in alcohol fuels and as intermediates in chemical and additive manufacture.
