Abstract
Abstract A process for coating a substrate and a coated substrate are disclosed. In a typical embodiment of the invention, a coating composition containing a capped polyisocyanate is first deposited on the substrate followed by applying, before curing the first composition, a second coating composition containing 1,2-epoxy functionality. This method of coating is referred to as wet-on-wet coating. The coated substrate is then heated in one step to cure the multilayered coating.
