Abstract
Abstract A method for making triarylsulfonium salts is provided based on the reaction of an aromatic hydrocarbon, a sulfur chloride, and chlorine in the presence of a Friedel Crafts catalyst. The triarylsulfonium salts can be used as cationic photoinitiators to effect the deep section cure of a variety of organic resin compositions.
