Abstract

Abstract A method of preparing high purity procoagulant protein comprising the steps of (a) adsorbing a VIII:C/VIII:RP complex from a plasma or commercial concentrate source of factor VIII onto agarose beads bound to a monoclonal antibody specific to VIII:RP, (b) eluting VIII:C with a salt solution, (c) adsorbing the eluted VIII:C on an animohexyl agarose column and eluting the VIII:C with a salt solution.
