Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 3
Claim 1
Independent Claim 82 words
A process for preventing or reversing cataract formation in the eye of the lens of a patient which comprises administering directly to the eye a therapeutically effective amount of a physiologically acceptable solution of a composition that interacts with the constituents of the lens that cause lens opacification in order to clarify the lens, said composition being selected from the group consisting of an acrylamide, a mixture of an acrylamide and an aldehyde, and a mixture of an acrylamide and a glycol.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 82 words
A process for preventing or reversing cataract formation in the eye of the lens of a patient which comprises administering directly to the eye a therapeutically effective amount of a physiologically acceptable solution of a composition that interacts with the constituents of the lens that cause lens opacification in order to clarify the lens, said composition being selected from the group consisting of an acrylamide, a mixture of an acrylamide and an aldehyde, and a mixture of an acrylamide and a glycol.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 13 words
The process of claim 1 wherein the acrylamide is polymerized in the lens.
