Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 3
Claim 1
Independent Claim 86 words
A porous electrode for electrolysis of water comprising a plate of porous graphite having one major surface thereof coated with a thin layer comprised of titanium and titanium oxide doped with a catalyst comprising mixture of about 20 mole percent of RuO 2 and about 80 mole percent of IrO 2 totalling 100% the thickness of said layer comprised of titanium and titanium oxide being from 0.1 to 0.5 micrometers, the coated graphite surface and the opposite uncoated graphite surface being exterior surfaces of the electrode.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 86 words
A porous electrode for electrolysis of water comprising a plate of porous graphite having one major surface thereof coated with a thin layer comprised of titanium and titanium oxide doped with a catalyst comprising mixture of about 20 mole percent of RuO 2 and about 80 mole percent of IrO 2 totalling 100% the thickness of said layer comprised of titanium and titanium oxide being from 0.1 to 0.5 micrometers, the coated graphite surface and the opposite uncoated graphite surface being exterior surfaces of the electrode.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 25 words
The electrode of claim 1 having grooves on the major surface opposite to the surface coated with said layer comprised of titanium and titanium oxide.
