Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 12
Claim 1
Independent Claim 46 words
An improved thermoplastic molding composition comprising, in intimate admixture: (a) a poly(1,4-butylene terephthalate) resin; (b) a poly(ethylene terephthalate) resin; (c) an impact modifier of a segmented copolyester-ether; and (d) a filler material selected from the group consisting of finely divided surface treated clay and amorphous silica.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 46 words
An improved thermoplastic molding composition comprising, in intimate admixture: (a) a poly(1,4-butylene terephthalate) resin; (b) a poly(ethylene terephthalate) resin; (c) an impact modifier of a segmented copolyester-ether; and (d) a filler material selected from the group consisting of finely divided surface treated clay and amorphous silica.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 31 words
A composition as defined in claim 1, wherein the filler material is a finely divided surface treated clay which has a particle size of from about 1 to about 50 microns.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 14 words
A composition as defined in claim 1 wherein the filler material is amorphous silica.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 29 words
A composition as defined in claim 1, wherein the impact modifier is a segmented block copolyester-ether consisting of hard segments of polybutylene terephthalate and soft segments of polybutylene oxide.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 14 words
A composition as defined in claim 1, which also contains a flame retardant additive.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 53 words
A process for improving a thermoplastic composition comprising admixing: (a) a poly(1,4-butylene terephthalate) resin; (b) a poly(ethylene terephthalate) resin; (c) an impact modifier of a segmented copolyester-ether; and (d) a filler material selected from the group consisting of finely divided surface treated clay and amorphous silica, and forming a substantially homogenous, warp-free composition.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 53 words
A process for improving a thermoplastic composition comprising admixing: (a) a poly(1,4-butylene terephthalate) resin; (b) a poly(ethylene terephthalate) resin; (c) an impact modifier of a segmented copolyester-ether; and (d) a filler material selected from the group consisting of finely divided surface treated clay and amorphous silica, and forming a substantially homogenous, warp-free composition.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 30 words
A process as defined in claim 6, wherein the filler material is finely divided surface treated clay which has a particle size of from about 1 to about 50 microns.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 14 words
A process as defined in claim 6, wherein the filler material is amorphous silica.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 29 words
A process as defined in claim 6, wherein the impact modifier is a segmented block copolyester-ether consisting of hard segments of polybutylene terephthalate and soft segments of polybutylene oxide.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 15 words
A process as defined in claim 6, wherein a flame retardant composition is also added.
