Abstract
Abstract A bearing assembly having an inner race member movably mounted in an outer race member, the inner surface of the outer member being a concave spherical surface and the outer surface of the inner member being a complementary convex spherical surface. The outer race member is received within an aperture formed in the head of a shank assembly. The bearing surfaces are formed of zinc-plated metal having a chromium skin layer and a chromium enriched subsurface layer. The chromium skin layer is about 40 microns thick.
