Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim 68 words
Process for hydrocarbon recovery from a subterranean formation comprising (a) injecting a surfactant system comprising a hydrocarbon sulfonate surfactant and a nitrile cosurfactant into said formation via at least one injection well, (b) causing the so-injected surfactant system to move from the injection well towards one or more production wells displacing hydrocarbon present in said formation, (c) recovering displaced hydrocarbon from at least one of said production wells.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 68 words
Process for hydrocarbon recovery from a subterranean formation comprising (a) injecting a surfactant system comprising a hydrocarbon sulfonate surfactant and a nitrile cosurfactant into said formation via at least one injection well, (b) causing the so-injected surfactant system to move from the injection well towards one or more production wells displacing hydrocarbon present in said formation, (c) recovering displaced hydrocarbon from at least one of said production wells.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 22 words
A process in accordance with claim 1 wherein a mobility buffer fluid is injected into said subterranean formation following said surfactant system.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 23 words
A process in accordance with claim 2 wherein an aqueous drive fluid is injected into said subterranean formation following said mobility buffer fluid.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 26 words
A process in accordance with claim 1 wherein said surfactant system further comprises a protective agent and is injected into a subterranean formation containing hard brine.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 17 words
A process in accordance with claim 1 wherein said surfactant system comprises a petroleum sulfonate and acrylonitrile.
