Abstract

Abstract Polymeric products are prepared by polymerizing in aqueous medium under addition polymerization conditions a dispersed phase of a polymerizable, ethylenically unsaturated monomer or mixture of polymerizable, ethylenically unsaturated monomers in the presence of an at least partially neutralized adduct of a polyepoxide and a primary and/or secondary amine and which contains unsaturation. The polymeric products are useful in water-based coating compositions particularly for use in cationic electrodeposition.
