Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 13
Claim 1
Independent Claim 59 words
A method of operating a catalytic petroleum refinery process comprising performing a catalytic operation for conversion of liquid hydrocarbons derived from petroleum by exposing said liquid hydrocarbons mixed with catalyst to sufficient microwave energy in the frequency range of about 2.5×10 9 to 10 12 hertz in the absence of coal particles to enhance conversion of said liquid hydrocarbons.
Claim 2
Independent Claim 59 words
A method of operating a catalytic petroleum refinery process comprising performing a catalytic operation for conversion of liquid hydrocarbons derived from petroleum by exposing said liquid hydrocarbons mixed with catalyst to sufficient microwave energy in the frequency range of about 2.5×10 9 to 10 12 hertz in the absence of coal particles to enhance conversion of said liquid hydrocarbons.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 25 words
The method of claim 1, wherein the catalytic operation is performed under relatively mild conditions of temperature and pressure and relatively low catalytic contact times.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 16 words
The method of claim 2, wherein the catalytic operation is performed in the presence of hydrogen.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 13 words
The method of claim 3, wherein the catalytic refinery operation is catalytic reforming.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 17 words
The method of claim 2, wherein at least two microwave sources are employed in the same operation.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 15 words
The method of claim 5, wherein each microwave source is operated at a different frequency.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 12 words
The method of claim 6, wherein the microwave sources are operated simultaneously.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 12 words
The method of claim 6, wherein the microwave sources are operated consecutively.
Claim 10
Independent Claim 48 words
A method of operating a catalytic petroleum refinery process comprising performing a catalytic cracking operation for conversion of liquid hydrocarbons derived from petroleum by exposing said liquid hydrocarbons mixed with catalyst in the absence of coal particles to sufficient microwave energy to enhance conversion of said liquid hydrocarbons.
Claim 11
Independent Claim 48 words
