Abstract

Abstract Harvesting apparatus for harvesting fruit, berries, and similar produce, including at least one pair of vibratable shaker head assemblies, each having a plurality of harvesting fingers which are subjected to rotational and vibrational movement by the shaker heads. Each shaker head of a pair is mounted on a support, and each support is mounted for pivotal movement independent of the other support about a common axis which is located substantially centrally along a line extending substantially transversely between the shaker head assemblies. Independent pivotal movement of the supports permits good penetration of produce bearing plants or bushes by the fingers.
