Abstract
Abstract Disclosed is a method for coating substrates with a stress-crack resistant coating of a fluoropolymer and a polyfunctional compound having two or more allyl groups such as triallylcyanurate or triallylisocyanurate wherein the fluoropolymer is a polymer comprised of ethylene, chlorotrifluoroethylene or tetrafluoroethylene and optionally a termonomer such as 3,3,3-trifluoro-2-trifluoromethyl propene. The ingredients are homogeneously blended and applied to the substrate which is maintained at an elevated temperature to allow flow-out of the coating mixture thereby forming a stress-crack resistant coating.
