Abstract
Abstract Phenol-formaldehyde-furfuryl alcohol terpolymers containing substantially equimolar proportions of phenol and furfuryl alcohol are prepared by reacting phenol, formaldehyde and furfuryl alcohol under essentially anhydrous conditions in the presence of a metallic catalyst with continuous removal of the water of condensation from the reaction mixture.
