Material for color photography

Claim 1

A light sensitive recording material for colour photography which contains in at least one silver halide emulsion layer a yellow coupler of the formula ##STR155## in which R 13 is straight-chain or branched alkyl having 3 to 10 carbon atoms, cyclopentyl, cyclohexyl, adamantyl, phenyl or phenyl substituted by fluorine, chlorine or bromine or alkyl or alkoxy each having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, X 3 is hydrogen, chlorine or a radical of the formulae ##STR156## in which A is --COOH, --NO 2 , --COOR 14 , in which R 14 is alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or the radical of the formula ##STR157## A 1 is hydrogen, alkyl having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, aralkyl, aryl, cycloalkyl having one to four cycloalkyl rings, alkoxy having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, aryloxy, alkylmercapto having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, arylmercapto, halogen, trifluoromethyl, cyano, --NH 2 , mono- or a di-alkylamino, in which the alkyl radicals each contain 1 to 18 carbon atoms, ##STR158## in which alkyl contains 1 to 5 carbon atoms, ##STR159## straight-chain or branched alkyl having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, aralkyl, preferably benzyl, or phenyl substituted by alkyl, alkoxy, halogen, --NH 2 , alkylamino, dialkylamino, acylamino, --COOH, carbalkoxy, carboxamido, sulphonyl, sulphonamido or alkylmercapto, A 3 is non-branched or branched alkyl having 1 to 18 carbon atoms which is unsubstituted or substituted by halogen, nitro, cyano, alkoxy or primary, secondary or tertiary amino groups, aralkyl, or cycloalkyl having one to four cycloalkyl rings; aryl which is unsubstituted or substituted by alkyl or alkoxy each having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, halogen, acylamino, --SO 3 H, --COOH, sulphonamide or carboxamide, N-- or N,N-substituted sulphonamide or carboxamide, carboxylic acid ester, hydroxyl, nitro, primary, secondary or tertiary amine, mercapto, alkylmercapto, --SO 2 --L-- or --CO--L; pyridyl, furyl, thienyl, perfluoroalkyl, acyl, dialkylamino having, in each case, 1 to 5 carbon atoms in the alkyl part, alkoxy having 1 to 18 carbon atoms or phenoxy, A 4 is hydrogen, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl, alkenyl, aryl, aralkyl, a heterocyclic radical, alkoxy, aryloxy, alkylmercapto, amino which is unsubstituted or substituted by alkyl, aryl, or acyl, alkylsulphonyl, arylsulphonyl, acyloxy, aminosulphonyl, carboxamide, sulphonamide, alkyl carboxylate, nitro, cyano, halogen, substituted or unsubstituted ureido or substituted or unsubstituted aminosulphonylamino, A 5 is --CO-- or --SO.sub. 2 -- and A 10 is hydrogen, if A 5 is --CO--, and has the meaning defined for A 3 , A 11 is alkyl having 1 to 18 carbon atoms which is unsubstituted or substituted by halogen, amino, cyano or alkoxy, cycloalkyl, aryl or aralkyl, A 12 is hydrogen and has the meaning defined for A 3 and L is alkyl having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, which is unsubstituted or substituted by halogen, amino, cyano or alkoxy, cycloalkyl, aryl, pyridyl, pyrimidly, furyl or thienyl and Y 1 is fluorine, chlorine, bromine, alkyl, alkoxy and alkylmercapto, each having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, --NH 2 , --NHR 10 , --NR 10 R 11 or --NHCOR 12 , in which R 10 and R 11 are alkyl having 1 to 5 carbon atoms or phenyl and R 12 is alkyl having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, and Z is alkyl having 5 to 40 carbon atoms, alkoxy having 5 to 40 carbon atoms, cycloalkoxy having 5 to 12 carbon atoms or aralkyl; alkoxyalkyl, alkoxycycloalkyl, cycloalkoxyalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted phenoxyalkyl, alkylamino- and dialkylamino-alkyl, substituted or unsubstituted arylamino- and diarylamino-alkyl, alkylmercaptoalkyl or substituted or unsubstituted arylmercaptoalkyl, in which radicals the sum of the carbon atoms in each case is 6 to 40; or --COOR 3 , --COR 3 , --NR 3 R 4 , --CONR 3 R 4 , --NR 4 COR 3 , --SO 2 R 3 , --SO 2 NR 3 R 4 or --NR 4 SO 2 R 3 , R 3 is substituted or unsubstituted alkyl having 1 to 40 carbon atoms, substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl having 5 to 12 carbon atoms or substituted or unsubstituted phenyl and R 4 is hydrogen or alkyl having 1 to 12 carbon atoms.
