A stripping-resistant asphalt composition comprising (A) 100 parts by weight of a nonmaleinated asphaltic material selected from the group consisting of a non-maleinated asphalt and tar, (b) 0.1-20 parts by weight of a maleinated organic compound having an average molecular weight of 200-10,000 and an acid value of 10-250, the maleinated organic compound being a reaction product of maleic anhydride with at least one member selected from the group consisting of liquid polybutadienes, petroleum resins, drying oils of vegetable origin and polymers thereof, low molecular-weight polymers of C 2 -C 15 straight-chain monoolefins and petroleum-derived waxes, and (C) 500-4000 parts by weight of aggregate.
